Got a head for heights and love building things up to just take them down again? Sounds like scaffolding might be your thing!
Why not get started on the career ladder, with a scaffolding apprenticeship in Wales?
Its not just about throwing on a high-vis vest and shouting instructions. Its an entire career choice – and a rewarding one at that.
There’s a fantastic opportunity waiting for you at the CWIC Scaffolding Academy in Swansea. So grab your hard hat and let’s take a closer look at how a scaffolding apprenticeship could be your ticket to the top.
We’ve been running the apprenticeship program, since October 2020, with 3-4 cohorts a year, each with nine students, of all ages and backgrounds. Competition is tough! The main requirement? You need to be employed in Wales.
Our apprenticeship programme mixes classroom learning with real-world experience. Picture yourself, toolkit in hand, learning the art of building secure scaffolds and mastering the dance of beams and braces. Under the watchful eyes of our experienced instructors, you’ll get hands-on experience and learn all about working at heights and following safety standards.
By the end of the course, you’ll earn a Level 2 Diploma in Access Operations and Rigging, and a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in the same field. These diplomas open doors to exciting roles like site supervisor. The world is your oyster!
Once you complete the Apprenticeship, you can register for a skills assessment through the CWIC Scaffolding Academy to get the CISRS industry accredited card, this will ensure access to sites up and down the country.
